I ran out of notepads

so I wrote you

a love poem

on a banana peel.

 

The banana turned black,

as ink or night,

so I lost it.

 


Alexa Tirapelli is a middle school teacher turned bartender-slash-writer. She grew up in the Catskill Mountains and is currently living in Brooklyn with her boyfriend and two cats.
