New Year’s Eve by Suchoon Mo

she and he together

stand by themselves alone

shoulder to shoulder

this new year’s eve

in the middle of the crowded street

where drunkards sing and laugh

she and he together alone

wait for the snow to fall

in silence

Suchoon Mo is a veteran and retired academic living in the semiarid part of Colorado. His recent poems appeared in Aji Magazine, World Literature, Scarlet Leaf Review, Armarolla, Little Rose Magazine.
